Panferov Reese served as President (2011-2014) of the TESOL International Association Board of Directors and has served on the TESOL Board of Directors (2008-2011) and in the capacity as the TESOL Convention Program Chair (2007). Additionally, she served as the Professional Development Chair on the UCIEP Steering Committee (2005-2008) and as Vice-President of UCIEP (2014-2016) as well as President (2016-2017). She currently serves on the Board of Trustees as the Vice President for the International Research Foundation for English Language Education (TIRF).
